1. About Ironwood Millworks
Ironwood Millworks is a custom cabinetry and millwork company based in Carrollton, Texas, designing and building cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, mudrooms, offices, and other built-in spaces.
2. Website Use
The content on buyironwood.com — including text, photos, and design examples — is provided for general informational purposes and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without our permission. Door style and wood material photography is used courtesy of TaylorCraft Door Co. and remains their property. Product renderings and gallery images represent typical results; actual grain, color, and finish will vary naturally by material.
3. Quotes & Estimates
Any pricing, timeline, or scope discussed before a signed proposal is an estimate only and is not a binding offer. Final pricing and lead time are confirmed once measurements are verified, materials and finishes are selected, and a written proposal is signed by both parties.
4. Deposits & Payment
A deposit is required to schedule and begin production on a custom order; the specific deposit amount, payment schedule, and balance due terms will be stated in your signed proposal. Production does not begin, and materials are not ordered, until the required deposit is received. Final payment is due upon completion, delivery, or installation, as specified in your proposal, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Lead Times & Scheduling
We work to deliver most custom cabinetry projects within approximately 3–5 weeks of a finalized, signed order, but lead times are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by material availability, project complexity, change orders, weather, and other factors outside our control. We’ll keep you informed if your timeline changes.
6. Design Approval & Change Orders
Before production begins, we’ll provide shop drawings and/or material selections for your review and approval. Production proceeds based on what you’ve approved. Changes requested after approval — to dimensions, materials, finishes, or hardware — may result in additional charges and may extend your project’s timeline.
7. Cancellations
Because each project is custom-built to your specifications, cancellation terms are addressed in your signed proposal. As a general matter, deposits become non-refundable once materials have been ordered or production has begun, since those costs are committed on your behalf. Cancellations before that point may be eligible for a partial refund, less any costs already incurred.
8. Delivery & Installation
We offer white-glove delivery and, where agreed, installation. You’re responsible for ensuring the delivery site is accessible, prepared, and ready to receive cabinetry on the scheduled date (for example, adequate clearance, finished flooring where required, and any electrical or plumbing rough-in completed by others). Delays caused by an unready site may affect your schedule and could incur additional charges. Please inspect your cabinetry at delivery and report any shipping damage or concealed defects within 3 business days so we can make it right.
9. Warranty
We stand behind our craftsmanship. Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for the period stated in your proposal (marketed as our “Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty” on cabinet construction and joinery, unless otherwise specified). This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wood movement, grain variation, or color change due to humidity, sunlight, or age — these are natural characteristics of real wood, not defects
- Damage from misuse, neglect, improper cleaning, or accidents after delivery
- Normal wear on hardware, hinges, and moving parts
- Work performed or altered by anyone other than Ironwood Millworks after installation
- Issues caused by structural, plumbing, or electrical conditions outside our control
To make a warranty claim, contact us with your original proposal or invoice information and a description (and, where possible, photos) of the issue.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ironwood Millworks’ liability for any claim arising from our products or services is limited to the amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use or delay-related costs, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.
11. Intellectual Property
Design concepts, drawings, and renderings we create for your project remain our intellectual property unless we agree otherwise in writing; they’re provided for your use in connection with that project. We may photograph completed projects and use those images in our portfolio, website, and marketing materials unless you ask us in writing not to.
12. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms, and any dispute arising from our website or services, are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before pursuing formal action, we ask that you contact us directly so we can try to resolve the issue — most concerns can be worked out quickly with a conversation.
13. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, material or supply shortages, carrier delays, labor shortages, or similar circumstances.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. The terms in your signed project proposal control for that specific project even if these general Terms are later updated.
